Placing bets now: since they know the suspect’s age he’s a right wing white man and they’re waiting to spin him as a “deranged leftist” who shared an elevator with a trans person 12 years ago :’)

He is a 40 year former Marine veteran of the Iraq war with a wife and son according to latest reports.

If we don't hear about it tomorrow and the news cycle quickly moves on it means he was a right winger.

Just like the right winger who murdered three cops in Pennsylvania last week.

Or the Trump assassin..

My MAGA relative is already posting bullshit "statistics" from Hannity claiming it's all leftist violence.

I don't believe in god, and I think that Christians are the downfall of society. But you have a right to practice religion freely in this country. The guy fought for that right of all citizens. Waste of all that work IMO.

No he did not fight for that right, he was engaged in wars of aggression for the enrichment of the elite. That's what US soldiers do.

It looks like this guy left the Marines after spending four years as a "organizational automotive mechanic and vehicle recovery operator" in Iraq.

EDIT: Correct info is that he spent 4 years as a Marine after highschool, only his last year was in Iraq.

I mean, I have every bit of respect for soldiers. They volunteer to serve in the military as tools of the government.

It is the government that actively exploits people in poverty, people in dire situations, and people who have no better alternatives. They work to make sure that there are sufficient quantities of people like that willing to sign their lives away for three squares and a glorious purpose.

The military as an organization, as an arm of the government, is only as good and as righteous and as honorable as the people in charge of it, so it's been a really long time since the military has been deserving of respect. Soldiers, marines, airmen, sailors, they have earned respect for their willingness to sacrifice. But when your commander in chief gives an illegal order, like to deploy to Portland and hunt down protestors, then it is your duty to this country to disobey such an order.

If they don't, then they are no longer on our side of the war.

Brigham Young orchestrated the massacre of hundreds of people at Mountain Meadows.

I won't shed a single fucking tear for anyone clinging to that pig's legacy.

I hope the children come to associate that scumball church with trauma, and refuse to go back. That's the only way they'll escape early from that cult.
