But did you know that when it snows [consuming cocaine] my eyes become large [pupils dilate] and the light that you shine can't be seen [disassociation]

When I was a kid I thought this was a reference to bats in the wintertime because I was baby and didn't know drugs lol

Also his song Crazy was about a time he did ecstacy.

My long standing theory is that Seal discovered the music for Kiss From A Rose in some medieval manuscript which is why it sounds like it should be played by a collection of troubadours edit: or on harpsichord

If you go back to old movies and comic books, the destruction of famous US landmarks is a very common thing

Hell, I have an issue of X-Force from '92 where Juggernaut and Black Tom Cassidy blow up the World Trade Center

There's a full two page splash of the towers exploding while Juggernaut laughs maniacally

Can't do this anymore because of woke

There's an old Transformers comic where Decepticon Beavis & Butt-head deface every US landmark with Cybertronian profanities.

I LOVED this music video as a kid and batman was my guy.

This soundtrack also gave us u2’s hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me which was a banger itself.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

Well it worked, so thanks for that! It is wild that the music video is just 90s Batman though lol

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 11 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Also wild that they used "Kiss From A Rose" but Poison Ivy isn't even in this movie. Wasted opportunity imo

[–] spudnik@hexbear.net 10 points 6 days ago

Good point, now I'm even more upset

Arguably one of the better Batmans (Batmen?) at least

Seal is one of the best singers of all time. Listen to some of his new stuff. He did a soul album recently that is simply divine.

The Statue of Justice is a colossal neoclassical sculpture of a robed woman that is located on a small island in Gotham Harbor and overlooks the docklands. It is sometimes also called Lady Gotham and is Gotham City's analogue to the Statue of Liberty in New York City.

In the early comics, Batman's place of operations was originally established as New York City. Comics like Detective Comics #63 therefore also featured locations like the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building. In Batman #4, Batman's home base was first named as Gotham City and slowly distanced from New York City in the following years, essentially retconning it as a separate city.

After their confrontation at the Second National Bank of Gotham, Batman was left dangling on a cable attached to Two-Face's helicopter. In order to finally kill Batman, Dent used a steering wheel lock to fly the helicopter straight into the Lady Gotham statue in Gotham Harbor. Two-Face used a parachute to escape while Batman was able to leap off of the helicopter into the water below moments before it crashed into the giant harbor statue and exploded. The Lady Gotham was set on fire and heavily damaged when the left side of its face was destroyed by the helicopter once it collided with it.

That's kind of funny that Two-Face is responsible for the statue also being two-faced.

I love the song but the juxtaposition of this serious song over a video with Jim Carrey is hilarious to me

[–] Beaver@hexbear.net 6 points 6 days ago

This whole album is fuckin dope

I can't get it out of my head sus-torment

[–] MF_COOM@hexbear.net 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

That music video is so fucking funny that one of the best complete nonsense bangers of all time happened to come out on a Schumacher Batman soundtrack means the video is forever shit
