Well I’m convinced

What an odd thing to say.

Somehow this makes me suspicious when previously I had no thoughts on it lmao

So….? They did?

Well we know it wasn’t Russia since no windows were involved.

Did anyone check the bullet for polonium? They might have just been trying out a new delivery method

Watching Israel cosy up to the far right is like watching someone free themselves from a bear trap, reset it, and start running straight at it again

[–] REDACTED@infosec.pub 72 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I had zero reasons to suspect Israel in this, but now there is one

I hope that people aren't really taking this too seriously as a reason to suspect Israel. There was a LOT of chatter saying that they killed him, by the Nazis of course. A dominant narrative on /pol/ is basically that Kirk got in bed with the Jews and now he's paid the price for trusting them.

From the standpoint of your average left-leaning person, Israel making a statement like this seems completely out of the blue and makes them look really guilty. But there's a whole demographic of people who really think that they did it. I don't think it's too unreasonable that they would make a statement about it. And let me be clear. I absolutely hate Israel with all my heart. But there are plenty of events in this world that they are not responsible for.

More importantly, this seems dangerously close to reasoning like: "You wouldn't defend yourself against these accusations unless they were actually true!" Which is definitely not a good bar to set.

Do things ever go any other way over there? 🙄

He left behind a wife and two kids. That's how we know Israel didn't do it.

Stolen from here

BTW, Netanyahu having to deal with actual antisemites peddling conspiracy theories sounds a lot like the boy who cried wolf

What an odd thing to formally state.

[–] alquicksilver@lemmy.world 133 points 3 days ago (3 children)

I feel like I would suspect them less if they hadn't said anything. Most of Israel's formal statements regarding allegations of Israeli violence are lies, so what would make this statement different?

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 33 points 3 days ago

Even more importantly… maga is never gonna let that bone go.

Eh, there was "evidence" (a third-party tweet) that Kirk was worried about being killed by Israel shortly before his death.

It's not like this came out of nowhere.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 38 points 3 days ago (2 children)

He was a raging antisemite. Of course a raging antiemetic whack job would be concerned about them killing him.

[–] primrosepathspeedrun@anarchist.nexus 25 points 3 days ago (12 children)

Wait, antisemite definition one 'hates Jews' or antisemite definition two 'thinks Palestinians are people'? Definition one has nothing to fear.

[–] leftzero@lemmy.dbzer0.com 62 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Makes sense, they're reaching the point where it's more efficient to list the people they haven't killed.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 2 days ago

For the record, I can believe that Israel has managed to bomb everything in Gaza except Hamas.

[–] spirinolas@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

Holy shit, they killed Charlie Kirk??!

I never even considered Israel could be responsible. Very nice of Netanyahu to clear that up.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 105 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I didn't suspect they had any involvement before, but now I have some doubts... 🤔

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 48 points 3 days ago

Charles himself said about 6 months ago that he was worried Israel would try to harm him because about a year ago he stopped supporting them over the genocide, so this isn't out of absolutely nowhere. My guess is that it was just a dogwhistle.

The fact that Israel is actually saying it, however? Like... Aight. If they said nothing I would have continued to disregard it, but Israel's statements are around the same credibility level as Russia's, so I kind of have to give credence to the possibility that the exact opposite of what they say is true...

Qanon. Of course Qanon asked.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. The murder of Charlie Kirk continues to benefit some of the most powerful individuals and banks with ties to Epstein.

The Senate called for this investigation hours before he was killed

So if anybody was paying attention to that right now instead of the threats of civil war, that would mean that people would be looking at the relationship between Epstein and individuals like Netenyahu, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Peter Thiel, as well as the banks that helped fund them like JP Morgan, BNY, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank.

Or at least, people would be noticing the Republicans have voted 3 separate times to block this investigation starting on the day Kirk was killed.

That's true they don't kill nazis; Israeli snipers only shoot babies in the skulls and eyes:

Israel killed Charlie Kirk.

[–] Sgt_choke_n_stroke@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago

"Because charlie kirk was an adult"

-bibi Netanyahu probably

[–] SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago (4 children)

I didn't think they had anything to do with it until this.

Netanyahu made a couple of social media posts about it when it happened, but there's now not really another sensible reason why the PM of a random country cares about an American podcaster so much.

I think this means we're at the stage where he's decided it makes more sense to list off all the crimes he's not doing.

List complete.

The "I didn't kill Charlie Kirk" shirt has a lot of people asking questions which are answered by the shirt.

Incidentally, why don't we all play with the same truthiness ruleset?

Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the hit on Charlie Kirk.

We know with certainty that Donald Trump did not order the hit, as he'd be bragging about it.

This is going to make the conspiracy nuts latch on even harder. You just Streisanded yourself, dumbass.

ps: The American right wing hates Jews almost as much as they hate Muslims.

[–] AcidiclyBasicGlitch@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

I'm not right wing, I'm not antisemitic, and I never liked Charlie Kirk.

Still think there's a good chance Netenyahu was involved in his death. I don't believe he acted alone though. Hours before he was killed the house and the Senate tried to investigate connections between Epstein, big banks like JP Morgan, Netenyahu, Elon Musk, and others. Republicans in the House and Senate blocked it and barely anyone noticed bc suddenly Charlie Kirk was assassinated and a bizarre series of incidents allowed the killer to get away.

Trump immediately began calling for war on the left and Elon Musk suddenly went on his white supremacy world tour.

The investigation into the suspect has been botched as fuck, and they claim that they had a note he wrote confessing to the murder but it was destroyed.

The House voted again yesterday and again Republicans blocked a subpoena of big banks involved in this connection. And once again barely anybody noticed bc the Trump admin is still distracting with war on the left avenging Charlie Kirk's murder (which they most likely helped carry out).

Kirk was rumored to have refused to accept money from Israel, but he also had been one of the few right wing propaganda outlets who backtracked after making the statement that he wouldn't talk about Epstein. He made the statement then after backlash from his fans he said he would keep covering it.

There were several powerful individuals that would have been very angry at him and also needed a big distraction right around the time he was assassinated. The question is who actually gave the order for the go ahead? Who orchestrated it and who sent who to carry it out?

P.s.: I love Jews and I love Muslims. I hate corrupt governments and individuals that use entire groups of humans as a scapegoat to distract from their own evil bullshit. We used to call people that did that Nazis.
