Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

Is a depiction, description, or simulation, whether real, animated, digitally generated, written, or auditory, that includes a disconnection between biology and gender by an individual of 1 biological sex imitating, depicting, or representing himself or herself to be of the other biological sex by means of a combination of attire, cosmetology, or prosthetics, or as having a reproductive nature contrary to the individual's biological sex.

Yes its proposed, yes it won't pass, yes it would be struck down.

Conservatives lost the abortion vote in Michigan this is just performative and has no chance

[–] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 45 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I know it won't pass, I still think its an escalation of rhetoric

[–] SnuggleButt@hexbear.net 34 points 3 days ago

Hey wait mom said I couldn’t escalate my rhetoric anymore cause wishing death on slaveowners was too much! Why do they get to escalate their rhetoric and wish death on perfectly innocent people!? This doesn’t seem very fair you know

No argument there

Here's the rub for any young dipshit republicans that think porn bans are "based". These ghouls all have mistresses on the side and gladly pay for them to get abortions out of sate too.

depiction, description .. written or auditory

Literally the phrase "trans person" would be illegal porn

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 40 points 3 days ago

Yes its proposed, yes it won't pass, yes it would be struck down.

Don't worry, private companies will step in to fill in the gap and will ensure this gets enforced, even if it isn't an actual law! desolate

Male pregnancy is a well documented phenomenon dating back thousands of years including in 2nd-century historical texts such as A True Story by Lucian:

Now, what strange novelties worthy of note I observed during the time of my abode there, I will relate unto you. The first is, that they are not begotten of women, but of mankind: for they have no other marriage but of males: the name of women is utterly unknown among them: until they accomplish the age of five and twenty years, they are given in marriage to others: from that time forwards they take others in marriage to themselves: for as soon as the infant is conceived the leg begins to swell, and afterwards when the time of birth is come, they give it a lance and take it out dead: then they lay it abroad with open mouth towards the wind, and so it takes life: and I think thereof the Grecians call it the belly of the leg, because therein they bear their children instead of a belly.

It also occurs in many other species in nature, so it sounds like a skill issue that most of today's men won't do it

Smarter people than myself have pointed out that porn bans often accidentally-on-purpose ban LGBT content as well, but this is a new meta. Like how Nancy Mace was throwing around the T-slur or whoever that based Latina congresswoman was doing in her crossfit campaign ads.
