Even if this shooter is identified as a hardcore deep red republican they will still blame democrats, immigrants, and LGBTQ+

[–] goldteeth@lemmy.dbzer0.com 68 points 2 days ago (2 children)

motherfucker could've died of a ruptured appendix and they'd still probably claim Bill Gates remote-detonated a microchip in his bloodstream to do it

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago

It was the trans underground that did it!

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago

Bill Gates is a full member of Trump's special club now. We all saw him at that dinner.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 47 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It's what they claimed about the Trump shooter, and the guy who assassinated the officials in Minnesota. Definitely a pattern that they're not going to deviate from.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 16 points 2 days ago

Or their accusations against antifa in 2020 and before after they stood up to their aspiring Brown / black shirt paramilitaries in training. They're trying to go full Nazi, only there incompetence and misunderstanding has stopped them as of yet.

We all know it was a blue-haired trans brown Mexican dog-eater from Haiti who couldn't hold a gun to save their life. Who else could've done it?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 9 points 2 days ago

He donated a dollar in the grocery store checkout line to a children's hospital when he was 12, proving he's always been a Commie socialist.

This is the correct headline. Why is the rest of the media having so much trouble?

[–] some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

They'd rather mangle & twist their headlines into pretzels to avoid even the appearance of something that might possibly offend Herr SHitler.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 day ago

Orange Shitbasket uses a person's death to distract his involvement in raping little children.

[–] Bluefalcon@discuss.tchncs.de 50 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Since the president kid toucher is being wreckless, guess I should to.

Kirk died due to the epstein files. You fire up a bunch of crazy people about pedos being everywhere. Drinking blood and keeping kids in pizza basements. Then you say, "I'm done talking about Epstein." How did you think people will react?

[–] lka1988@sh.itjust.works 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I've heard this before, but I don't remember where: Trump will nuke someone before he ever admits he fucked kids.

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

I believe it, so let's force him to by dragging him to court and showing the evidence and witness testimony. He's never going to volunteer it.

[–] BotsRuinedEverything@lemmy.world 40 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So we all know the shooter is going to be maga, right?

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Conspiracy is that Trump had him killed so he can ramp up his military dictatorship.

Also they say that the video of Trump is AI amd was posted before it was even announced Kirk was dead.

The the fact high-powered rifle at long distance. Yeah I can almost buy into it.

[–] redhorsejacket@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago

I don't want to yuck your yums, since it's sort of a subjective call, but I wouldn't necessarily call 200 meters a "long distance" shot. It's not close range, but hitting a mostly stationary human sized target at that distance is, if not "easy", certainly achievable with a minimal amount of firearms experience. I think this holds true even without the assistance of scopes or other optics. For reference, basic rifle marksmanship qualification for the armed forces has you taking on targets out to 300 meters with iron sights, and, despite never firing a weapon prior to basic training, I was able to consistently hit the 200 meter targets (though beyond that range was a coin flip)

Furthermore, calling the weapon a high-powered rifle is, to some extent, redundant. Again, it's subjective, but pretty much any firearm which fires rifle caliber ammunition is going to be by default "high-powered", unless it's .22LR. That's the only rifle cartridge I can think of that is commonly available that would not qualify as "high-powered" by a reasonable definition.

The only reason I bring up this little bit of pedantry is because, as you mentioned in your post, calling it a "long distance shot with a high powered rifle" leads the listener towards certain conclusions that are not well-founded at this juncture. It's not inaccurate or untruthful, but I do think it leaves out relevant context.

The the fact high-powered rifle at long distance

That's not that amazing, plenty of people hunt or target shoot and get good. The suspect part to me is the shooter escaping

[–] Sir_Kevin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I agree, any hunter could have made that shot. What's suspect to me is the dude standing there doing basebaII signaIs right before the shot.

If it were a conspiracy they would have had a “leftist” patsy lined-up.

Did the patsy change their mind about being caught?

I don't buy it. It is extremely risky, and, frankly, he doesn't need that to execute his dictatorship plans.

Plus the likes of that piece of shit are part of his propaganda machine.

The fact that he was the one that broke the news before all major media, and the fact that he’s doing his level best to railroad the narrative, makes me more and more suspicious that the whole fucking thing was orchestrated.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 27 points 2 days ago (3 children)

If that were true, I doubt they'd off Charlie Kirk, he's too valuable. He was essentially the replacement for Rush Limbaugh, and would be their prime recruiter and indoctrinator for the next several decades. Now they have to figure out a new recruiter.

Whoever did this was thinking very strategically. I like it.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 days ago (2 children)

No, now they have a martyr. Maybe it was a DIY martyr, is my point. Charlie Kirk as a martyr for their cause is probably going to be more of a powerful and flexible thing long-term than Charlie Kirk as a psychopathic fascist influencer.

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 18 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I really really think people over estimate the power of martyrdom.

Do you know who Fred Hampton was? If not, proves my point. I think most people don't know who he was, and he definitely would have done more for the world if he hasn't been assassinated.

Hampton was black, and was assassinated when the government was kinda-sorta actively trying to tamp down on civil rights.

Kirk was white, and was assassinated when the government was kinda-sorta actively trying to stir up white suprematist and fascist sentiment.

They are not analogous situations.

I'm done playing nice. Charlie Kirk was human garbage and I'm glad he's dead. I can only hope more people like him are dealt with appropriately. People like him are here only to destroy society and we've let them get on for far too long. Yup, I know I'm a pig, but at least I'm not a fascist.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago

Charlie Kirk became the acceptable loss he believed in. The best way to respect his passing is to ensure that acceptable losses everywhere are the people that believe in acceptable losses.

To distract from the senate blocking the Epstein files

[–] Naich@lemmings.world 42 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Did anyone seriously expect him to do anything other than to use a murder for political gain? When has he ever shown that he is anything other than a contemptable piece of dog shit?

Duh no shit, of course. This was always going to happen, they were always going to blame the left because that is the playbook for EVERYTHING.

[–] jabeez@lemmy.today 12 points 2 days ago (2 children)

And if we're not careful, the violent fascists are gonna get.........violent!

More likely it’s Trump trying to get people to forget the Epstein files. Seriously, the man will generate or hijack any outrageous issue for his own short term goals.

[–] TheProtagonist@lemmy.world 34 points 2 days ago

Anyone surprised that Trump makes statements based on a complete lack of evidence? He will surely use it for propaganda and whatever else is yet to come…

[–] Gudl@feddit.org 26 points 2 days ago

Never let a crisis go to waste. — Machiavellian leaders

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 days ago

Aaaand there we go, right on cue, and exactly as expected

[–] Doubleohdonut@lemmy.ca 23 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Conspiracy time: Charlie Kirk has been sacrificed by his own political party. It's a false flag to blame the "radical left", and no suspect will ever actually be identified. It makes democratic politicians continue to look out of touch as they condemn "political violence" across the board. And of course, it distracts all the lovely people demanding access to THE EPSTEIN FILES. Stay focused, everyone 🙂

No one is surprised. He will use any possible angle to use the military against us.

Get ready for the government to declare a national emergency or some BS.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

Its genuinely funny this took place in Utah. I would be tickled if a reporter asks if he'll send the national guard to Utah.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 18 points 2 days ago (3 children)

If they don't find the actual sbooter fast enough, he will send in the National Guard and/or find a patsy.

Got to get the narrative they want out into the media before anything comes to light that goes against it.

Release epstein files

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

I mean, don't Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum regularly say things along the lines of if someone on the left was murdered, they would applaud it?

[–] lorski@sopuli.xyz 6 points 2 days ago

Weird, huh? Sure makes it look planned.
