Update 2: There is footage which shows Charlie Kirk taking what seems to be a fatal gunshot to the neck. I will not post it here.

Update 3: Hasan Piker watched the clip on stream and confirmed that Kirk took the fatal shot. Piker was visibly shaken as he was supposed to debate Kirk at Dartmouth University in 15 days.

is there any chance shooter gets caught? seems like they gone, luigi getting caught was a fluke and even then he left much more evidence like getting caught by a security camera, this one didn't leave any evidence.

They could have evidence that nails the shooter dead to rights in open court and just not know it or have announced it yet. They might have had their cell phone on the entire time but cops are going to take some time to track down all phones in the area and start looking more closely into those that were in the shooting area and either had no reason to be there or subsequently left the area. Needless to say anyone whose phone places them in that building as well as everyone normally in that building without a quality alibi of being elsewhere is going to be a suspect for some time to come if they don't find anyone else and they're going to be surveilling everyone but especially those with non-reactionary political beliefs for months to years. This is the type of thing they'll have someone from the local cops working on for at least two years even if all the trails go dead, just hunting down whoever was there, trying to find a slip-up. Given who he was FBI will probably also have at least one person working this for a year or more.

So it all really depends on how much evidence there is. Did they leave DNA they're certain belongs to the shooter (e.g. ruling out all other normal people who might have reason to be there for innocent reasons by testing them)? Do they have video with a clear shot of their face? Fingerprints? Do they find the weapon? Cell phone trace. Bragging about it on an 'encrypted' online chat that the NSA has monitored which causes them to home in using parallel construction and maybe just murder them in a raid? Does someone convert to become an Evangelical in 2 years and they saw the shooter and come forward to the cops to give a sketch and info about distinctive clothing they were wearing? Lots of things could happen.

With Luigi they tapped some illegal surveilence resource then did parallel construction to fabricate "legal" evidence (ie the backpack with everything in it). The shooter was probably as cautious and more practical(?) given the range of the shooting.

Odds are it takes them 2 weeks to commit to a suspect.

Honestly, they have very grainy footage from a couple of CCTV cameras and one cell phone digital zoom shot... There's a lot of variables and opportunities where they could have disappeared into the crowd. Way less surveillance just steps away from cities and towns out there... They just might get away completely. Might just be that they got really lucky, or maybe they know what they're doing, which suggests former military. Really crazy all the different avenues this could lead down.

If it's a former spec ops person turned anti-fash or maybe a personal grudge, we might or might not see more hits. Maybe it's some of those O9A freaks trying foment civil war. Maybe it was a kid like Crooks who wanted to be famous and actually learned how to shoot... Idk, but I feel like they had WAY more to go on with Luigi, not to mention he engraved the shell casings - we haven't heard anything about any brass left behind. Shit is wild.

seems to me like they gone, there was a shit ton of cctv camera footage circulating fairly fast when the CEO got whacked with the alleged shooter face visible in one too, there was clear footage of the shooter clothes and murder weapon. This time there is nothing other than some cellphone footage where someone is seen in the roof far away, maybe the gun can be identified but its likely a common one in an open carry state.

The only thing you can actually conclude from all the videos of the shooter (of which there are maybe, I think, 2? and even then they’re in what, 20 frames?) is that they’re a person who shot Kirk from the roof.

Basically zero investigative value.
