This is just classic shrinkflation. For reference the Samsung 990 Pro 1TB has 8 channels, and 2 Samsung NAND chips @ 500Gb per channel. This means each SSD has 932GiB of storage, or 1,000GB. The max read bandwidth is 7.5GB/s.
