Cats will kill and eat anything that doesn't kill and eat them first. Which is why environmentally conscious cat owners keep them indoors where their damage to other specieses is reduced.
Though some frogs are poisonous and might be bad for them.

I posted about this like two days ago but my cuddly and mischievous cat (aptly named Jezebel, or Jezzie for friends) kidnapped one from the garden and brought it to the room very late at night and we only noticed cause the innocent little frog would make weird noises whenever Jezzie fucked with it. ππ

My cat will eat plastic wrapping left sitting out. So yeah, he would definitely try to eat a frog given the chance.
I didn't know frogs could squeak like mice until one of our cats started chasing them around the garden. I've had two inside the house. The cats weren't planning on eating them, though. It's just about the hunt.
My cats are also huge fans of moths, butterflies and grasshoppers.
Theyβll eat them. Depending on the frog species, they may even do so more than once.
People often donβt like wild cats because they decimate the local bird population

I have to think that if they can catch a thing that can fly away, a frog should be NP any time it's on land.
Tree frogs like to hang out on my windows at night (aka the bug buffet). And the cats absolutely love to watch them. If one gets within arm's reach, they will try to swat it, not realizing of course the frog is on the outside.
One time a frog did sneak inside and found out that the air conditioning wasn't worth the death wish.

Can confirm my mom's cat loves catching and eating frogs/toads by her backyard pond. As others have said it's not advisable to allow as there's risk of poison, salmonella, etc.
Hmm. Do they carry salmonella? I would assume they have a whole different gut biota from amniotes like mammals or birds.

Yeah, they're curious and will try to eat most animals or plants. Frogs often carry harmful (to cats) bacteria and parasitic worms though..
I've had to stop my cat from eating a button. So probably.
