Jupiter. It's probably the reason all the other planets didn't get bombarded by shiz and tldr life on earth.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

doesnt it also attract shiz towards the inner solar system, like Batman does to Gotham?

[–] Canconda@lemmy.ca 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I don't know. But clearly Bruce could fix Gotham if he didn't have a vigilante kink.

couldnt Jupiter just be a series of protective rings around the outer solar system and not a large overbearing presence? I didnt vote for Jupiter and its forever status frankly alarms me

Pluto. Anyone who says Pluto isn't a planet will get immediately blocked

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 8 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It's the first discovered object in the Kuiper belt. It has a massive heart. It doesn't need to be a planet to be awesome.

[–] ashenone@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 days ago

Fair, but your walking a fine line friend

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 days ago

Isnt Pluto Mickey's pet dog?

[–] Klear@quokk.au 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I will call Pluto a planet for the rest of my days.

[–] ashenone@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 days ago

You hear about Pluto? That's messed up right?

[–] sobanto@feddit.org 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Venus. . It's the only planet that has boobs. Earth has boobs on it, sure, but imagine them planet sized!

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 2 points 4 days ago

And if we'd ever colonise it we would probably use massive boob-shaped balloons.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

could be :-)

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 5 points 4 days ago

Mars because there is still a decent chance there is microbial life there.

Also Mars is a fascinating juxtaposition to earth, was there at some point plate tectonic recycling on Mars like there is on Earth (which keeps the surface of the Earth chemically dynamic)?

Boys go to Jupiter to get more stupider.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Girls go to Saturn to put a hat on

Neptune in my cocoon

[–] spittingimage@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Are we accepting planets that orbit other planets? Because I've always thought Titan was neat. Nasa has a recording of the wind from a probe descender stage.

[–] tetris11@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 days ago

if it can support life, I'll allow it

[–] jewbacca117@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Always though Jupiter was pretty cool

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 2 points 4 days ago

Probably pretty hot, due to pressure.
