Is anyone here so hardcore that they don't even bother with mainstream social media? If its not on Lemmy or Mastodon it must not be important? Anyone that hardcore?

Can't use Reddit if I'm permanently banned. Fuck them anyways.

Yes, hi. I have fully abandoned antisocial media.

Stuff is not important anyway, no matter where it is posted. I get input here, which is okay. But the most important part is: I dont get centrally controlled propaganda and am able to form my own input as I can handle it.

Is that really considered hardcore?

I follow some local news and i have a list of video content creators i download with a script but other then that its just the Lemmy verse for me.

I still browse reddit but I was banned a long while ago. Guess I thumbed up too many Luigi posts lol

I go here to post (just wish I could find similar threads/subreddit or whatever. I miss posting on niche subjects)

I’m working on a Lemmy client and I occasionally browse main stream social media to check the robustness of my app vs theirs. But I find myself enjoying mainstream less and less as I settle more into Lemmy.

I use Lemmy and Discord

[–] mvirts@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I basically only use Lemmy. Since reddit first tried to restrict their API I've been outta there. Other that that I use Facebook for marketplace because less and less is on Craigslist

My 10+ year old account with high karma was perma banned overnight I got into an argument with a power tripping rad left mod. I'm left leaning politically, however if you arent rad left on Reddit then youre a fascist. They love that echo chamber. Honestly one of the best thibgs to ever happen to me. Reddit is bad for your mental health. And their power tripping mods are pretty much nazis

[–] selfdefense420@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (2 children)

lol. you're going to have an awakening soon. lemmy is full of rad left. reddit looks moderate by comparison.

Doesn’t sound too different from Lemmy, except most users are radical left AND radical Linux users.

Soon as I figure out Lemmy’s porn options I’m done with Reddit forever.

Til then tho, I’m happy to consume Reddit’s content without spending a single cent towards it or any of its advertisers.

sometimes open old.reddit.com when i need info but otherwise lemmy and i compartmentalize accounts into different languages

I'm that hardcore. Partly because I'm also a habitual Tor user, and post-IPO Reddit seems to dislike that.

Edit: Although I still will incidentally browse old Reddit as a guest sometimes, because not everything exists on Lemmy yet. I dread the day they pull the plug on the old frontend.

Browse reddit but only have lemmy account

Besides that , my only other socials (bluesky|tumblr)
