I remember hearing how Truman had a "the buck stops here" sign on his desk. One is very hard pressed to find that kind of accountability and ownership anywhere in today's world, especially among executive leadership, be it corporate or political.

I've only lived through Bush, Obama, Biden, and Trump so I cant relate.
Non American here, but the both sides schtick really really doesn't apply to Obama or Biden here. Definitely not internationally at least. And likely not domestically either.
Isn't it tiring to always be trying to apply that bullshit mental gymnastics to the democrats? We have a phrase for this in Spanish, "pena ajena". It means I feel embarrassed for you. That's the exact vibe for this.
They try to apply it to Biden because he acts a little weird around kids. The worst was when he appeared to be sniffing a young girl. It was weird for sure but I've known a lot of elderly to do it. Apparently after a certain age it's common for young kids to smell really good to the elderly.
Obama really doesn't have any kind of scandals. After Clinton and Bush it was quite refreshing to not hear much of anything about our president.

You can certainly argue that the over-familiarity and inappropriateness are Biden's particular innocent character quirks. But I don't think these are common among the elderly.
Ive never seen Bernie Sanders do that and I've certainly never personally seen any elderly people do that irl. Also Obama was a war criminal and despite having a Congressional majority did almost nothing with it.
The hell do you mean? Obama was a war criminal and Biden funded genocide. This concept may be foreign to you since you probrally live in a country witha proper left wing party but thats not America. In America the two parties are almost identical except one looks pretty. They're both ran by Capitalists who take turns extorting and profiting off the backs of the working class and the exploitation of the global south. So maybe don't make sweeping comments like that about a country you clearly dont understand.
