Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

In addition, a new disease registry is being launched to track Americans with autism, which will be integrated into the data.

Making a big ol' list of autistic people, surely nothing bad can come of this.

Oh hey look, it's the reason I never tried to get a formal diagnosis.

Literally same here, I've spent the last decade avoiding being on as many lists as possible, I didn't think Autism would be the first musical chair to get pulled after immigrants and trans people but I knew at least one of the neurodiverse topics was gonna come up fast.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get onlyfans, Handmaiden's Tale, or glasses off my fascism bingo card.

Plenty of sus shit so far in this administration, but IMO this is the sussiest of them all.

It's quite literally nazi shit, and ultimately this has to be the logical end goal of the whole "vaccines cause autism" discourse, when you pair it with modern antivax bullshit; vaccines are bad for you and they cause autism, therefore autism must be a bad thing.

Add to that the whole recent thing about autistic people not paying taxes and you've got one hell of a stew. Things are bad and we can't provide for everyone, so people who we see as not being productive are therefore undesirable.

Things are bad and we can't provide for everyone, so people who we see as not being productive are therefore undesirable.

While I don’t think the Trump admin is literally copying what Javier Milei is doing, they really do seem to be following along the same path just a year or two behind. And in Argentina, it seems like the austerity is falling hardest on the most vulnerable populations like the elderly.

But there are probably more autistic people who do pay taxes than those that don’t. Can we say the same for businesses?

the Big Autism lobby is out of control

And how many autistic people are itching and raring to start participating in society. But can’t because employers have such unrealistic high expectations?

The rich businessman screeching about how picky he is like he’s a toddler throwing a tantrum for dino nuggies is more a burden than any of the autistic people begging for their first job no one wants to hire them for.

We did our end of the bargain. Offered to contribute. They’re the ones telling us “no.”

and we can't provide for everyone,

Except we can... we just don't.

CW: reference to murdering children

People with mental and physical disabilities were among the first targets of the Nazi regime. Several years before the Nazis devised a “final solution” for Europe’s Jews, they had already begun sorting their citizens by ability and claiming the Reich had no place for people who were different. Nazi doctors and psychiatrists led the charge, endeavoring to mold certain “autistic” children into productive citizens while sending others to be murdered at Special Children’s Wards throughout the Reich.

Great, we're making lists now to track the undesirables.

Let it be known that the Rotenberg Center Assassin Squads are gonna have to drag my body out of my house after a prolonged and televised 20 hour siege if they want me to stop begging all my friends to watch Murder Drones with me

[–] homhom9000@hexbear.net 16 points 2 months ago

If they're gonna try to stop us from reproducing/sterilization, I will become the welfare queen of their nightmares. I'm ready to have a kid every year with as many other autistics folks I know.

My dumb ass getting an official diagnosis a couple months ago.

[–] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

yea I should probably get a diagnosis of my neurodivergent depression mess to understand why I'm incompatible with corproate bullshit no matrer how hard I try to mask and they give me negative marks.

Oh and this LGBTQ+ often have a high correlation with nuerodivergence which is totally not an angle the brainworms will go after next in medical records.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 6 points 2 months ago

Yeah uhh…so much for “medical freedom”.

Hope they find I’m diagnosed with “none of your fucking business” disease.
