Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

100% the FBI was involved in this

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 51 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The neo-nazi group he had contact with could 100% be a honeypot.

He lives in my state agony-wholesome

He also had a gig running a pro Jim Jones/Pol Pot group in the late 00s lmao

[–] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago

Yeah a lot of the contact info both on the surface and in the deep net have been fed linked or act as lighthouses to draw in fed involvement when it comes to the death cult nazis. Anything that's more than a social club tends to have more active surveillance.

Jewsh occupied governments must fall," the document said, adding that the white race "cannot survive unless America collapses." It also contained images of Adolf Hitler with the text "Hail Hitler Hail the white race hail victory

I ... what? Had Trump done the impossible and cost America the neo-nazi demographic? And Russia is involved somehow???

a lot of the really hardline nazis have hated him for awhile, because he isn't actually one of them. he's a self-serving capitalist who's racist enough to court many fascists but he's not ideologically committed to any broader political aims. he doesn't really give a shit about advancing "the white race" and he has a Jewish members of his cabinet (one of whom is his son-in-law) supports Israel etc.

and order of nine angles aren't like, your typical run-of-the-mill fascists. it's a Satanic pedophile death cult

The further they are into groups like O9A, 764, etc., the more I feel it's less about fascism, but edginess in itself. Nazism has powerful transgressive symbolism that they gravitate towards, and I'm confident most have no actual belief in any Nazi policy, just drawing swastikas to invoke the idea of 'pure evil' that Nazism represents in Western media (for good reason). You can get a free news article by drawing a swastika on a wall, so why wouldn't ultra-edgelords leech off that?

In a way, I'm very happy they generally don't adopt figures like Stalin, who hold a similar place in Western media ('mass murderer', 'genocidal', etc.).

[–] TreadOnMe@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

If Stalin memes were to become newsworthy as opposed to censored, they would 100% adopt him. And that is because they are basically purely media reactionary nihilists. They only care about the exercise of power, and do not care who they are exerting power over or what actually happens. The more mentally ill children they can convince to self-harm or commit murder the more they think of themselves as smarter than everyone in society, which they would think while calling themselves 'removed'. Genuinely sick people.

In russia its more common for nazis to both be fash and love stalin. Although there is the balkanize russia and make it part of the EU/Ukraine variant as well.

I've been seeing for a couple years some neonazi types saying Trump was a race-traiter, that he was actually just a grifter and wasn't Hitler enough. I saw more talk of that a couple months ago with Musk mentioning that there are good foreign workers the US could use that should get visas, which upset the white-supremacists. I don't know if a capitalist these days can be Nazi enough for the most dedicated neo-nazis.

[–] LargeAdultRedBook@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago

TIL that Nazis have their own ultras

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It’s funny because libs talk about Trump like he’s full Hitler

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hitler has become an ontological evil for them

They can't really say why Hitler was terrible because they don't know

They know that he was the head of Nazi Germany, but ask if they know any other people responsible for the Holocaust and they might stammer out a Himmler or Goebbels

It's moral shorthand for them at this point to just point and shout "Hitler!"

[–] vegeta1@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

Thats how they end up clapping for em or putting up anti communist memorial full of em

[–] comfy@lemmy.ml 24 points 1 week ago

The nickname "Zion Don" has been around the far-right for nearly 10 years, crying about Trump not hating Isn'treal and their "Zionist Occupied Government" conspiracy. I don't know how widespread that position is among them, but it's certainly not new.

Never forget that Nazi scum have plenty of infighting too, and some have been dumb enough to assassinate each other over their drama (see: Rockwell's well-deserved assassination by another nazi). They're volatile and plenty of them are absolute idiots with violence obsession. Doesn't help that there are "satanic nazi" groups like O9A et al who endorse infiltration into neo-Nazi groups, who probably add more instability into the syncretic insane mix. As much as socialist groups can split and infight over relatively-meaningless things, at least we avoid most of those self-sabotaging crackpots.

Based on the headline, it doesn't make any sense

Edit: ok, this dude is a nazi, but how is a drone with explosives a WMD?

[–] StarkWolf@hexbear.net 52 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Reading the words "weapon of mass destruction" in 2025 in reference to a single drone with some explosives caused some psychic damage

Edit:

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 39 points 1 week ago (2 children)

i was kind of curious so i read through the definitions for WMD and it seems like the basic answer here is that for most of the term's history, it's exclusively meant nuclear/chemical/biological warfare weapons. and then like 30-40 years ago they just decided to include missiles and pipe bombs and such with certain amounts of explosive and successfully prosecuted people for those kinds of improvised explosives as WMDs. very normal country.

Incredible

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

If it's useful for empire to call it a WMD, then it's a WMD. Likewise with terrorism, etc.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 28 points 1 week ago

The feds can classify anything as a wmd under circumstances.

[–] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Credit card?

Yeah the nazi probably just stole his parents' credit cards after killing them sadness

[–] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh I was thinking he could just get his own or steal their credit card without the murder part. Agent 47 ahh nazi

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago

Yeah these freaks don't know how anything works in the first place, not surprising they can't think more than 2 steps ahead

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (3 children)

WI is home to many mooks like Rittenhouse it seems.

[–] Lyudmila@hexbear.net 28 points 1 week ago

Rittenhouse is actually from Antioch, Illinois.

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago

Yup

Outside of the cities, it's basically Chudtown USA

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It's got the same suburban terrain as most of the mid-west but the chuds are more secular so they come out as more Nazi.

[–] SpiderFarmer@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

Waukesha is the white flight capitol for people who still want easy access to Bucks games.

[–] Firstnamebunchofnumbers@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

[–] crispy_lol@hexbear.net 27 points 1 week ago

It’s like the FBI ~~thought up~~ asked Grok what the most likely assassination plot on trump would be and pilled a nazi to try it out.

In other news, be very careful what you say online.
