The death penalty ™️ is a power given to the legal system. Which should be opposed. Some times people just need to go though. That is different

Prisons should be rehabilitation centers in practice, not these crimes against humanity in the US. However there is no rehabilitating the couple in the OP

"We were once a family" is a good book about that case. It's not true crime slop, it digs into the systemic issues and racism of the foster care system and how it allows stuff like that to happen.
