I do not see how the dog (or even the man for that matter) is relevant to safety.
I think they're trying to suggest that the vehicle was targeted because of the canine passenger
Huh. Is that unique to Waymo or to autonomous vehicles? Seems more like a generic anti-dog sentiment, and in that case it seems weird that the vandals targeted Waymo rather than the passenger.
