Fun fact, the chants in that movie are the same words, just different chant tones.

When the monks are smacking themselves in the face, it’s a very mournful tone (fitting, since these words come from the Requiem, or funeral mass).

And when the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch is being brought forth, it’s a call and response chant with a much more triumphant tone (which doesn’t fit the words, but is comical):
Call: “Pie Jesu Domine:”
Response: “Dona eis requiem!”
(Repeat)

So I finally watched this movie and I can’t believe how much fun I had! Is there any similar modern British tv shows or films I could watch??
If you enjoyed the Holy Grail, then you should definitely watch Monty Python and the Life of Brian. If your whistle needs further wetting, Monty Python and the Meaning of Life, followed by Monty Python's Flying Circus ought to do the trick.

It's a classic for a reason! I don't think many modern movies capture the same style of humor, but I second Life of Brian.
They're not British, but if you haven't seen all the Mel Brooks classics, I consider them close enough too.

Let's be honest here, this is a tpk. Even if someone in the party has the Holy Hand Grenade, they sure as the hells aren't remembering that they do.
...we were ambushed by a vorpal bunny a couple of years ago; managed to grapple the vicious beast and drop it down an open well...
what do you think is the statblock of the bunny?
It took an area effect weapon (1 holy hand grenade of Antioch) to defeat it, so it probably has excellent AC and high hit points
