Starting at 8 grand?? Seems pricey and I live in a place with expensive labour
It says equipment starts at $8k. No mention of labor.
Upbubpbubpbup! $7,999 and only valid if you have this giant tacky coupon with you 🤣
Which is even worse, as I'd expect it to be half that installed
Summer is ending up here in the Northern hemisphere, so I'm going with this being in New Zealand, which makes it about $4600 US.
An ad in NZ would be in ºC that "75" looks suspiciously ºF.
We'd also more likely call it a "heat pump" rather than "A/C".
Though $8000 does sound about right for South Pacific Pesos.
Also, OP said in another comment that it's US.
It could have easily been stock art
Nope, Nevada. One of the other mildly infuriating things about this flier.
As someone who lives in a border county (San Bernardino does border Nevada even if I live closer to Colton than Primm) aren't you guys on like the edge of having your balls frozen off? Nevada is mostly mountains and highland desert meaning hot as ass summers and cold as shit winters.
Northern Nevada can get pretty frosty. I remember seeing -14f there on a particularly cold morning. I'm in Southern NV now, and it was around 90f yesterday. Overnight lows are barely getting under 70f still. Coldest I've ever seen here is around 28f, and I can't remember the last time it even got to freezing.
I got stuck in a blizzard up in northern Nevada a bit south of Blackjack, was a right shitshow.
Still crazy. Airconditioning is dirt cheap these days - a small bedroom aircon is like 300-400 usd these days.
...and I'm not sure about getting an A/C from someone that can't grammar, either
AC replacements typically run 15-20K for a decent system, install and all. At least last time I had to check.
Then I guess I'm never replacing mine. It's not like HVAC technology has advanced much in the past 100 years, beyond the switch to R-134A from Freon. Most tech advancements are made on the thermostat-end. The system itself is ridiculously simple; usually just 3-4 wires (A/C on/off, Heat on/off, fan on/off, and sometimes a separate power wire).
Heat pumps are the way to go. Or conditioning air with well water temps or ground temps other ways, 50 degrees year round 6 feet down usually.
