AFAIK Nintendo of America doesn't produce any hardware. They just translate, publish and sell software (and sue over IP).
These things don't contribute to the economy in Trump's eyes, so he'll most likely do even more damage if Nintendo ever ends up on the chopping block.
They have virtually nothing to gain and everything lose. They won't do anything.
They can do all that for some virtue signaling, or do nothing and profit as usual. How does this look like a hard decision to make?

To be fair i kind of agree with Nintendo on this knowing the abuses going on in detention centres of people ice detain from the news.

Nintendo are not a company that go after people that can fight back. They are bullies just as much as the current administration, the best that they would be able to do would be to get DHS to pull video, there's no way they'd get compensation for this so they really don't care.
There is a big difference between issuing takedowns to small YouTubers doing lets play content, or garnishing the wages from a pirate for the rest of his life, and picking a fight with DHS when youβre a foreign company and thereβs a dictator in office.
