Vance doesn't have Trump's charm or instinct. He's a toady chosen for his loyalty amd will to completely submit to dear leader. What does he have to offer the.base as a leader? He'd do his best to run Trump's playbook but powerful Republicans will vie for influence, and this could put them in conflict.

Fascism, especially when young, needs a strongman that can leverage respect or fear. Maybe Vance is capable of stepping into that, but I'm not convinced.

People here seem to forget the right has a whole media ecosystem. If they don't follow Vance or Don jr it doesn't fucking matter. That just means they follow what Fox News or the other reactionary streamers now stealing Charlie's audience say instead and they all echo broadly the same thing. They all get on the same page to say you know that trans people should be killed or you know the dems are communists and make america great and China is bad and be racist to asian people. Some slight differences but they're all tentacles of the same broad tent of funders and though there might be some brief struggling the bourgeoisie know how to coalesce around some core red meat issues to keep the hogs marching to their tune until the next big thing comes along to steer the ship totally.
