Vance doesn't have Trump's charm or instinct. He's a toady chosen for his loyalty amd will to completely submit to dear leader. What does he have to offer the.base as a leader? He'd do his best to run Trump's playbook but powerful Republicans will vie for influence, and this could put them in conflict.
Fascism, especially when young, needs a strongman that can leverage respect or fear. Maybe Vance is capable of stepping into that, but I'm not convinced.
When I see that base get excited about him tweeting stuff like "I don't give a shit what you call it" regarding war crimes, it seems like the same old shit to me.
