Being American though, I wouldn't instantly assume he's leftist. Supposedly one of the engravings on the bullet casings was,

There are tons of young people who would do that. It's an age thing. Zoomers love they discord and can't get off it just as boomers love they facebook and can't get off it. I think using facebook is an incredibly bad move yet people here admit to it. I think using facebook and being in lefty groups on it is even more wild yet people here admit to it and do it.
Let's not forget. Initially the lifeboat was a discord group after /r/CTH got banned. People were in there for some time before this website was brought up.
