That is... interesting. A place that isn't even America, that has essentially a living history sort of thing of '50s America, and an Elvis impersonator.
That sounds like a scary place to be a commie, compared to the rest of that country.
I know that I would struggle to really enjoy myself in an early Cold War era Americana "experience that place and time yourself" history exhibit, from the moment I saw a piece of period typical McCarthyist crap, to the moment I left. Because that was a scary place and time to be a communist, and I'm like... I do like and talk about a lot of other things, but I'm not good at hiding that I'm a commie. I've been in places that feel like stepping back in time into the late Cold War period, and... it's fun for about fifteen minutes, a bit more fun if I dress the part in my mom's old clothes, then I start to feel panicky and jumpy.
I know, right?
