RIP legend. StreamEast got me through 3 hockey seasons with little to no issues.

I've said it so many times: Offer me a legal season-long package for ONE team that includes all games priced around $100 and I'd instantly sign up. I don't want to jackass around with blackouts, 6 different apps / subscriptions, or pay an insanely-high amount of money to watch the whole league when I just want to follow my team.

The problem is that the sports industry has been propped up for decades with cable, where every subscriber paid fees for sports whether they cared about it or not. If they charged a reasonable price to just the people who care, it'd be a devastating loss. And cable was structured the way it was because that's what made the most money, and though cable's slowly being replaced by streaming, don't be shocked when the streaming landscape starts to take on a similar shape. There's already lots of bundling going on, remember when streaming meant that you could save a ton of money by just paying for what you wanted? They're going to do whatever they can to keep the revenue from falling.

But their revenue must fall, by any means.

It’s even worse for NBA basketball. You can pay for the entire league and it’s not too expensive, but they specifically black out the local or neighboring team. So you have to pay to watch every team except your own. It’s honestly completely absurd.

Sports fans are the most owned little bitches, i fucking swear. Every time i hear about this shit my brain lights up with irrational sadistic glee.

I dont even hate sports, i dont know why i feel this. Maybe its the oft neglected bully lobe of my brain seeing such an easy eager-to-be-abused target.

Best I can do is half the games spread over 4 streaming services.

OR what if we just punish and make it more miserable until you're resigned to failure and have to pay us for a whole-league package you won't use?
