Translation: scientists and regular people think it did, cranks and delusional con men think it didn’t’

Good grief, how can he just be so inconsistent. He did the whole warp speed, took the shot himself, claimed victory and said his handling was the best ever, and is now what? Just forgetting that. How can the base eat this shit up? Dumbest timeline.
