I really want Rivian to succeed, but I'm finding conflicting reports about about its viability. From "doomed" to "maybe not doomed." I hope they figure out how to profitable, but the US EV market isn't looking great right now.

Honest question, how is it doomed? Afaik it's being bankrolled by Jeff Bezos cause all the Electric Amazon delivery trucks are Rivian.

I suppose Jeff could decide to stop bankrolling it, but as long as he does, "doom" seems unlikely for Rivian.

I’m kind of suspecting Rivian has done enough that if they really falter they’ll likely get bought by another manufacturer for technology and expertise. I might be interested in one of their smaller vehicles when they ship, but having to go to another state to buy one hampers their viability a bit.
