You can block YouTube Shorts with Revanced if you have Android.

Nearly all of my time watching Youtube vids are on a PC these days. But thanks for the app recommendation.

Even better! Not sure about chrome but firefox has two good extensions: "Youtube-shorts block" and "Hide Youtube-shorts"
