So, just go into it with violence in mind, then? What advice is this really giving? Shoot first, because they're just going to lie about it anyway?
Fuck that.
Defend yourself if you have to, but telling people to use violence, just makes what they say about protesters, true. Don't validate them.
No. Nobody said show up and open fire on every cop you see. Being the instigator will not help anyone.
Show up, present arms to demonstrate that you can and will defend yourself and your fellow protestors should the cops chose to escalate as they have repeatedly done in the past, and proceed to march peacefully until/unless you are attacked. Then, defend yourself as necessary, taking care to not cross the line from defence to aggressor.
Note, I'd recommend some form of body camera as you will almost certainly have to defend your use of force in court later.
I agree with you that nobody should participate in protests with the intention to engage in violence, however I think anyone who's going to protest needs to be ready to defend themselves with violence.
Law enforcement won't be the only threat you face.
Bringing my hard hat, my gas mask, with extra NATO cartages, an umbrella, a spray bottle with water, back up battery, and a 5 gallon bucket.
Be safe and happy cake day!
Thank you!
Oh! And my gun range ear muffs with high frequency dampening for when they use the sonic weapons.
When police shoot at unarmed protesters then the protesters need to show up armed.
Police are too afraid to shoot their rubber bullets and gas grenades at armed people, because of the implication that they may defend themselves.
I'm curious, has anyone collected data on that?
I mean thats how the Black Panthers operated, it was super successful, so much so that even the NRA helped pass gun laws over it.
