I was as at the grocery earlier this week and as I was crossing the store, they had one of the aisle capper deals prominently displayed:

Flamin' Hot Cheetos Easy Mac. boxes were like 89 cents.

they were that neon orangy red with the cheetah in shades on the box. I considered it way too hard before forcing myself to keep walking because "that's not what I am here for."

if they're still there when I go back, I might have to investigate. if I could deconstruct the "Flamin' Hot" flavor and create a curry paste or spice mix that could be added to coconut milk or some kind of bechamel sauce, I could absolutely bring the house down on some pot lucks.

I wish somebody would hack industrial food trade recipes and dump them online. would love to deconstruct and recreate some of those pancrease-destroying guilty pleasures into god-tier meals by using better ingredients and regional/environmental/ethical substitutions.
