You can usually remove the paywalls using https://archive.is .

How do you direct the article to the archive? Do you take a part of the article's URL and add it to that archive URL?

You can just put the entire URL after the archive.is/, e.g. https://archive.is/https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/20/us/politics/biden-israel-hezbollah-war.html

Or you can just go to https://archive.is and paste the URL into the search box or the save box and hit the button.

On mobile Firefox I use the Web Archives extension to auto open the current webpage in archive.is.
