I looked into the account you linked but it showed zero post for me and created few days ago so got really confused. Tried googling it and found no result.

SAFAL might be something that just exist on twitter perhaps. most people here don't use it at all and stuck to fb, and its same with me so had no idea about that group.

But its a whole Different world on FB and in ground so thought it was parody account. there is no 'revolution' here. Army has asked for a representative from 'Gen Z' group and former chief justice Sushila Karki was chosen. Won't describe how the decision was made since it really need leanthy explanation (involves a discord group with around 10k live chat members that went for 11 hours. Fucking wild but somehow a good thing in the end)

Also everything looks like a color revolution here, hell even CIA might be confused on when they planned the entire thing but all of this is somehow developing naturally

The crowd did not exactly gave power to army, in short after the president resigned the crowd turned into a mob. There was nothing else to do, protest archived more than what anything even thought was possible and now you have large group of people and a lot of burning buildings and they continue to burn more.

So now turn from politicians homes to the national bank, supreme court, telecoms office, etc. the targetting of courts is really suspicion since it felt so random. Almost like a deliberate attempt to destroyed documents and evidence.

Also a lot of prisons were broken with most prisoners escaping and the police force were pretty much done. So the army had to come forward to restore order. At least no coup or any suspicious action by the army, they actually have been really helpful for now. But things might turn anywhere.

Also that twitter account is random as hell and something I discovered in hexbear. Don't think anyone got a clue on whats the deal with them.

I have no clue what that is. Where did you find it? Never heard of SAFAL nor read anything regarding this anywhere else.

Really wonder where the 'Democrats' came from. Never seen it being used to describe any Nepali Party.

Also all their demand are a joke. No one knows about them or their grand plan to bring communism.

Most suspicious of all is that notice is in English. Tried to look up on SAFAL but didn't find anything either

And it had been banned in Nepal for disturbing social peace by Maoist government lol

Yeah everyone was shocked how just how effective it was. Power of the masses I guess. Really a shame it was not channeled in a meaningful manner so the economic power still remains intact in the hand of capitalist.

The previous government was so inept that the right is now a monarchist -political party- Most of the parties here got 'communist' in their name or a hammer-and-sickel as logo, even if they have nothing to do with Marxism. So just being a communist party is no longer a effective rallying cry for masses, the parties need to show the ability to bring real progress which sadly has only been done by one Juche party. Maybe there are other small parties but have never heard of them yet.

Yeah no damage done to them, but also they might have been too small for anyone to notice.

Edit: a public toilet is burned in the area they controll, the protesters didn't find any real target....

spoilerAnd also few government offices but that is less funny

[–] xarm@hexbear.net 2 points 2 hours ago

They have only put out a statement. Maybe their members have been active in protest but there is no, not a single political party involved in open.

[–] xarm@hexbear.net 3 points 3 hours ago

At least There has been a growing movement of Gen z, as s group and maybe soon a org

Also, there is no concrete leadership so a group of zoomies are in a live call in a discord server — fucking lol — about what to do going forward, with some incredibly naïve takes. Another thing that points to a three letter agency psyop is the fact that people refer to "decisions made by Gen-Z", something without a figure-head for some reason; and I'm pretty sure that it doesn't refer to the discord call zoomers.

Okay I had the same impression until I actually listen to their talk. Having such serious talk in Discord is beyond cringe but they are actually Gen-Z, and thats where they are.

On the discussion side, it was a disaster for few hours but then everything started getting organized. It was less a discord and more like a radio talk show. People with real idea came forth to share with maybe 10k active listen on discord, and more than than in FB live pages.

I had been worried about no any organization yet, but it is slowly but surely forming as we look their discord talk with contempt. They have managed to reach out to all potential candidates, have a vote on whom to decide on and then went with the winner.

There were critique of the chosen candidate, a call for Balen to step up and generally a sane discussion on Balen's unwilling to come forth and its effect. He shouldn't focus on interim government patter but the upcoming election.

The call against corruption isn't just a surface level platform, there were discussion on systematic change with corruption as the core rot and just how integrated it has become with the Parliamentary system. Now there is a real agenda for the Parliament to be dissolved, move away from parliamentary system and the most surprising of all, not repeat Bangladesh.

Don't get me wrong, they are not Marxist or even leftist but they don't inherently have to be just wanting accurate analysis of the world will move you to Marxism and that is what I hope to see and maybe contribute a bit.

Overview of topic covered today in discord . Maybe there might be something here. I hope so else its either Durga Prasai or Rabi.

[–] xarm@hexbear.net 2 points 3 hours ago

Yeah they still pose real danger right now. Even tho he has been disgraced, he still has some support sadly.

He might even form alliance with Monarchist, who are also carefully playing their hand right now.

But all hope is not lost. Might make big update later

All small political parties have been quite. Since the target was the political establishment, they are probably wary to also be blindly attack right now.

My guess is they are waiting for the interim government to be formed and only then focus their effort for the up coming election.

related to this

There will probably be an interim government headed by a 'populist' leader who is currently the mayor of Kathmandu Municipality. At least thats what people are demanding. 'populist' in a sense like someone running in platform of change and improvement, not related to current establishment and is an independent candidate. and has done a lot of good so is very popular in the capital city.

The government's top brass has all been purged with no one left to take power. What should we focus on to prevent the same cycle of liberal governance -> move to right -> revolution once again?

There was no organization and leadership in the current protest, everything was spontaneous so felt like it would be an easy target for bad actors to take over the current momentum.

so any advice and recommendation of materials on moment after 'revolution' ? also the problem, limitation and enemies we face. Only the political leadership has been over-thrown but the ruling class still control the economic power. I guess only their investment in the political candidates are down the drain.
