My Atari 2600. Xmas gift in the late 70s.
Late 1980s, the Ambassador Motel in Grand Forks, ND. My family spent a weekend there while vacationing. Dingy, dirty, fights broke out in the hallway.
Police uniform.
AI, lawn, my car, plastic.
1000€ (roughly $1600 CAD) would be a nice down payment on a decent cargo bike like the Yuba Mundo Lux.
Three weeks, over a very hot summer. Our office manager had the only key to the thermostat for the whole office, and refused to put the air conditioning on. I stopped bathing in protest. At this time I also commuted by bike (17 kms each way) daily and absolutely stunk. I’m still amazed he took three whole weeks to cave…
I found them fun in the 90s. Now that I’m in my 50s and take longer to recover from bumps, bruises, and batons than I did in my 20s, it’s not as fun.
