Europe must cancel its plan to ban new fossil fuel-emitting cars from 2035 to reduce reliance on China's battery supply chain and play to its technological strengths, BMW's chief executive said on Tuesday.

Oliver Zipse, who has long pushed for regulators to permit various technologies - including alternative fuels like e-fuels or biofuels and hydrogen fuel cell cars - said the mood in Europe was "trending towards one of pessimism" and the region needed a new regulatory framework to remain competitive.

There’s probably something to this. But I’d think it’s time to move on. Is this some sort of dogmatic belief system that is thoroughly and blindly beaten into every successive generation?

It’s probably stemming from very deliberate misinformation, conflicting information, divide and conquer, gaslighting, manipulation, and so forth.

It’s a really shitty thing to do, and I can’t believe people are actually falling for it, but it’s a really effective solution seen with GOP eyes. The government don’t get to help people, people get outraged with the government, people get outraged with the democrats (ruling party), GOP has a clearer path towards cutting government functions they don’t want, people get worse off.

What will come of the world if nations can declare independence from nations they have never been a part of…!? Fuck China! Thoroughly!

Thanks for the offer, but I’ll support them from day one when I decide to subscribe :) I already know that several creators on Nebula make good content.

Thanks for doing the legwork, I appreciate the initiative :) I’m guessing that I’ll end up with a Nebula subscription, I just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

I’ve considered Nebula a few times. That could absolutely be the alternative I’m looking for if they keep adding creators and topics and variety.

I desperately want a viable alternative to come along. There’s a lot of great content on YouTube, but the platform is increasingly being enshitified.

Schmidt and Musk are examples of tech leaders that are a danger to humanity.
