And the complete lack of emotion in his voice tells you he's long since stopped worrying about the consequences of his words/actions. He knows his base won't care.

It worked out just fine for her. Gave him a chance to dig his own grave, which is what he did and what she wanted.

That does make more sense, and I'll even give it to Donnie this is what he meant. But as usual, his communiques are not clearly articulated.

The first 2-3 seasons are great. And that's because it's excellent characters in an unusual situation with just a splash of mystery/paranormal. The end of the show sucks, because they wrote it like they knew where it was leading, but they didn't. The big reveals are very unsatisfying. Would have been better if they just ended it with no answers and let it develop organically instead of shoe-horning a "this is what it was all leading to" ending into it.

Just rewatch the last season. That'll cure you.

That one really is a banger. But watching that video again, I can't get over how terrible the vocals would actually sound if she was up on the mic like that.

I feel compelled to point out that "back door man" was already a common expression in blues lyrics.
