For people complaining about ads and popups, try LibreWolf/Mull with uBlock Origin in medium mode.
This setup can sometimes break sites, needing some slight intervention (once per site), but I never get these popups people complain about.
Sites that absolutely refuse to work are rare, but it does happen. In that case, just have a backup Firefox or Chromium browser.

Something like this happened to my Logitech mouse. I had my settings saved to the onboard memory. Once I deleted and re-saved the profile onboard, it worked again. Maybe worth trying.
I've heard of people having similar experiences on Mastodon as well. Seems like these smaller communities of early adopters tend to simply be more active and pleasant to interact with.
Then try subscribing to communities that have something of interest to you.
I enjoyed the other two games in that trilogy, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. Played them endlessly when I was younger.
Also came here to recommend Monster Hunter. If these games grab you, there's many hours of play in it for you.
