I agree it’s important we have our own tech industry. But in the case of LLMs in specifically, in my opinion best-case would be to have China / US develop open source models, like they currently are. Let them waste the money! :)
Okay well, I did. It was on the iOS Telegram client, US phone number. Maybe Pavel pushed it only to certain clients.
What I found most alarming about this whole thing: this post showed up in the Telegram app for me, in a banner. I don’t follow Durov’s channel. He decided to push it to every Telegram client regardless of whether they’re following him.
Yeah the message is only half right.
