Here is the article discussing the journalist. Reuters made an incredible effort to show, with evidence, how directly targeted the journalist group was.
The person you are replying to did not offer any support to the horrible things done in that area.

I think everyone understands that being loud might draw the wrong attention, so do what you can to support the ones that you want as much as you are able.
