Is there some controversy around Bill Nye that I haven't heard?

He has been a leading science communicator covering hundreds of topics for many decades, and is only human, of course there are going to be shortcomings.

Double the minimum wage and standardize a four day work week. People need more free time and resources in order to socialize effectively.

The article says they are basketball player sized.

Maybe they were sending really big soldiers to the front. This is near the peak of the Roman empire, which spanned multiple continents and had over 100 million people.

No where in the article do they say what the target is, or how much progress they are on track to make. Are they off by 50%? Would they have to triple their progress to hit the target in time?
