People felt pain during Bidens admin from inflation and moved to trump. After the pain he will cause I think we will see a much larger shift

Once this administration defies the courts democracy will be over in the US.

It won't be a one off either, he will then begin doing whatever he wants. Congress will not stop him.

Postponing it won't matter. Unless he announces retirment we'll be there

26 was the last age I didn't notice wrinkles and could grow a good beard. The beard keeps people from perceiving you as young.

And that will be their downfall eventually. Once enough everyday people feel the pain they will vote to change it. But it's going to take a lot of pain.

Hopefully we have midterms

Exactly, I love Bernie, but he's old. Of a new generation of young progressives don't establish a foothold in the senate change will not happen.

Ot at least not through peaceful means.

We need a progressive takeover of the democratic party. The MAGAs tranformed the republican party in what 10 years?

If we have midterms it has to start then.

This is the truth and you should be outraged, but calling truthful reporting "instigating outrage" is insane

And to keep the private tax filing agencies afloat

Oddly enough it kinda does. OT can make you pay out more taxes on that one check since withholdings are calculated by check. Basically the government/payroll system thinks you're going to be making that every week so more taxes will be taken out.

In reality this only effects the size of your tax bill or return at the end of the year.

I liked my karma back on my old reddit account (before being banned from supporting Luigi), but that is because I had the account for 12 years and invested too much time into it.

So far I'm enjoying the laid back nature of lemmy. Hopefully there will be more engagement, maybe some UI updates too. But overall I'm liking the switch. The conversations and posts feel more real.
