Read the room bro. Not the time or place. As if OP has some control of the geopolitical instability in the entire region.

Hey @ggtdbz@lemmy.dbzer0.com why don't you solve the entirety of the middle east conflict?

This guy is just sharing their personal experience in this shitty situation. A little empathy goes a long way.

Just a heads up as of a few hours ago the windows installer is broken.

I think the missing link is viable raw photo management and color space transforms. Photoshop is just built well for that. But in terms of drawing Krita blows Potatoshop out of the water

Well, I guess its all hunky dory then. Good on central planning! I'm familiar with the essay and the thesis. I just find this penchant for cherrypicking the parts of history we like not very productive for analysis. Thanks anyway.

Where did that industrialization originate...? You guys want all the benefits and innovations of western capitalism but will assume no responsibility for the failures incurred by the processes that overlapped with said rapid industrialization. Yes, it was a great feat that so much of an agrarian population was lifted by mechanization but at what cost? You'll never address that part of the equation.

There is nothing wrong with being pro Marxist. All the more power to you and engaging politically. The issue is you guys -- at least here on social media and forums -- seem unable to divorce any conversation from marxist-leninist theory. Every discussion, topic, analysis is exclusively locked in this worldview because you've decided fervently that this is the ultimate frontier for humanity and anyone that slightly disagrees with this perspective is a capitalist neo-liberal bootlicker that needs to be flogged and burned on the stake.

Every time. Every. Single. Time.

I would say Lemmy is very heavy on emotions. Not a diss on Lemmy. I think it's a great platform but my god! It's like being stuck in an elevator with the angriest hormonal teens on the planet. Everyone, jeesus, please just chill and have a convo. My god.

I don't think... English is their first language. I could be wrong

My experience on this platform has been mixed so far but one thing I've noticed the most is a significant contingent of the user base is really reactionary in their discourse.

This is a very typical exchange I have here :

User: I don't like this color because it's red.

Me: I don't know, looks more like purple to me. What about red is bad?

User: Why don't you fuck yourself in the face you fucking cuntfuck!

Me: OK...

Like, what gives? I don't have this experience on other platforms. I have arguments but never this shutdown meccanism.

I don't know if others are experiencing a similar situation. My all feed is very sparse with engagement. If I sort top six hours or by top 12 most posts have between 5-10 comments. I feel like there was more in the past? Is engagement dropping off? I'm on lemmy.world as my instance.

At least on Reddit there was some leveling of downvotes built into the algorithm. This site is making it seem like any slight disagreement leads to downvotes thus encouraging more echo chambers. Maybe it's the communities I'm commenting on?
