Well this is confusing as hell. I think ditching pennies is a great idea, but I despise trump and maga and agreeing with anything he wants to do feels incredibly icky!

I lived there through the Obama years, and saw the hope so many had that the future would be brighter. I also saw the right wing driven to insanity by the audacity of their fellow countrymen voting for a black president. They'll never forgive that offence. And they're going to fight to the death to make sure it never happens again. No matter how badly trusk fuck the country, it will always be acceptable to them, because at least they're not black or a woman.

Unintended consequences??? But thus far all the trusk policies have been so well thought out and flawlessly executed!

Agreed. I don't think Biden was perfect, not by a long shot, but he got a massive amount of legislation passed that was helping average Americans, and the media, the general population, and even his own party gave him very little in the way of recognition or thanks. I wasn't expecting much from his presidency at the outset, but I think ultimately he was one of the most successful and productive presidents in modern history.

Depressing is right. I consider the US a failed state now.

Well I guess he's got all that spare time now that he's fixed all the problems everywhere. And he is known for having exquisite taste in art and interior design.

(Kinda depressing that I need the /s here, but I'd hate for some magat to come along and agree with me...)

When I was a kid, people would get jobs, then stay in those jobs for years and years, getting promotions and raises. Then they'd buy things like new cars, houses, and vacations, just with the money they earned by working their jobs. So I thought that that is how life would work for me. Boy was I wrong!

I imagine a lot of them feel very threatened, for themselves and their families. There's not a lot of evidence that if maga decided to just start locking up anyone who causes them inconvenience, there would be any authority coming to your aid. It's survival at this point for them.

Wasn't arguing with what you were saying, just that your delivery was Tyler Durden levels of theatrical and inspirational. It was a thumbs up. 👍

The sooner we shut down the CDC, the sooner we can stop worrying about this shit! (/s)

Well he had good reason to. It was an unprecedented move for an unprecedented president who was a clear security risk.
