Ich mag das UI in Gimp nicht, bin auch nie damit klar gekommen. Ich finde nie die Sachen die ich suche und es fühlt sich alles so voll gestopft an in derem UI.

Potentially Germany, where I grew up we said "Two idiots - one thought". We have quite a lot if regional variety in these things.
My personal experience is that I just translate one idiom from one language / culture to the other without realising and still expect ppl. to know what I mean.
An app like Shazam but that shows me : this is the song you played and these are the songs it reminds you of because the melody is from here and the vocals melody is from here etc. I am mad that every other song reminds me of another but I cannot check which one it is.

Thinking about any unintended consequences is always good. I also agree that a 'rug pull' in general terms is not a good thing, however; since we are talking about the privacy of the consumer and turning said privacy into a consumer right, I don't think there will be a lot of negative consequences. The companies are going to complain but they do that no matter what.
Personally I think, any company that solely relies on selling user data as revenue stream deserves to go down.
