I really don't that that gives it a pass, TBH.
IcedRaktajino
I loved the simplicity of it. It did one thing, and did it well enough.
They had an early mobile app (BREW I think), but it was pretty awful.
I think SMS gaining popularity killed it, and they were too early for the "What's App" era that ultimately killed SMS in a lot of places.
I didn't notice it at the time, but AIM away messages were basically like proto-Twitter long before actual Twitter became a thing. Some people would always be "away" so their inspirational crap would show since AIM still let you chat like normal while "away".
vaguebooking that would involve lame-ass "motivation quotes" or worse song lyrics that were obviously about some dramatic thing happening in their life
You've just described like 90% of the AIM away messages in high school lol.
At least we're not doing duckface anymore.
Maybe just that model? I've got an X1 carbon. It expects 45W and will run from anything that spits out 20V. Even hooked it into a 20W power bank. It complained that the supply was below expectations and that the battery might not charge but it worked.
Lol. Their comment is like telling a depressed person to "just cheer up". Yeah, super helpful. Thanks so much.
Some of us don't have access to or live in a public transit utopia. c/FuckCars is that way ➡️

That was THE computer to have in college when I went.
Maybe one in 10 dream of owning an RV lol
Because that's me. I'd love to have a solar-charged EV-RV and just van-life life it across North America in my retirement years.
For regular debit/POS transactions, yeah, I think that's universal. For ATMs, though, I think it depends on the ATM software, right?
Is it only your bank's branded ATMs that do that?
My credit union doesn't operate ATMs and just reimburses the fees, so I use any random ATM when I need to do something other than a deposit. Some let me do multiple transactions, some don't. Some don't even let me transfer funds, but those are usually the dinky little machines you find in "convenience" locations.
