I have brown hair and brown eyes. My wife has blond hair and green gray eyes. We have a son with red hair and blue eyes. And yes he is my son. Genetics are weird.

Can't just implant a 90 year old liver. And a lot of them are unsalvageable. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be mandatory, just that it will still be a limited resource.

Lake, meer means lake. Achtermeer is best translated as back lake, or behind lake. Assuming achter in this case is used as this. It could also mean the lake of Acht. Since Acht could also be the name of a location. See Markermeer.
