The explanation is simple: The Democrats are a party of do nothing capitalists who ~~only~~ don't want power
That's my explanation. The only reason the make the bare minimum attempt at winning elections is so that a bunch of them can get positions that give them titles, e.g. secretary, speaker.
If I was a clone of Adolf goddamn Hitler, wouldn't I look like Adolf goddamn Hitler!?
I mean all white people with the same haircut look identical to me, but still. If you want a narratively cheap way to get Picard invested, don't be a coward and cast Steward in both roles.
What's the take on posts like this? Do you consider it re-dredging the issue up or think it promotes healthy introspection?
(I think it was).
Narrator: It wasn't.
Because it was literally more of the same. You were also telling OP to [will themselves to] make lifestyle changes. The point plenty of others are making is that forcing oneself to act contrary to how they act without addressing the conditions that caused the original behaviour is often a road to disappointment. Recognising those conditions is vital, and a lot of people have very little real power over them.
Ah yes, Das Capital by Carl Marcs. Definitely not suspiciously thin.
Vegetables and zombies can't make decisions people who lost their cognitive facilities are supposed to. The husk of Joe Biden is bound to drop the moment they stop feeding him whatever insane cocktail keeps him running.
Also, who the fuck cares? Republicans don't care, they think Harris is also a communist. Democrats don't care, they voted in the corpse in the first place and were willing to do it again if some dumb shit billionaires hadn't realised he was dead. We shouldn't care because Harris is a fascist too.
This is not a case of Trump having done bad things and Biden doing nothing. An analogue is if trump were firing a minigun on a bunch of people, he left office, Biden took over and resumed firing.
Also, sanctions by the richest country in history need to be proven to have adverse effects on the imposed in the same way the theory of gravity needs to be proven again: only flat earth type loonies need it so it's merely an exercise, not an academic necessity.
At great cost I presume, this sort of thing can't be cheap
I like calling mine Mothra. It's not clever, but I couldn't think of anything else when I first realised I could rename the seamoth and wanted badly to name it.
What about Bumblebee or Weasel? The seamoth's small and manouverable, it makes sense.
All of which makes more sense when one remembers Herbert lived in a pre-9/11 world where the people who knew the word Jihad would also know it means struggle and doesn't necessarily refer to a holy war.
It's still wild to me that the successors actually made the Butlerian Jihad about a war with AI. I thought it was quite obvious that thinking machines didn't mean machines with thought and cognition, rather they were simply tools that reduce the amount of thinking people did.
