monero.town is a server in the 'fediverse'. The software used by this server tries to be the equivalent to reddit. There is an equivalent to Youtube too, called peertube.

Thanks for the explanation. Its a project that wants to build a platform for an anonymous airbnb alternative. It uses Monero and simpleX for most things
