It's over! 28 episodes and yet it flew by so fast! Perfect ending to a perfect anime. I would have to nitpick really hard to find something bad to say about it, this is exactly what a 10/10 looks like.

I hope Frieren's last line applies to our goodbye with the cast as well. This is definitely my most-looking-forward-to-sequel-announcement anime.

I'm also hoping for a sequel. The following arcs are cool, and the animation got a great momentum, it would be a shame if they let it drop.

I am so torn up that this show is over (for now). As a huge fan of the source, I was so incredibly anxious about this series before it began airing. There are any number of ways it could have gone all wrong and it isn't a story I thought would connect with such a broad audience. However, in my wildest dreams, I hadn't expected the show to be this good. Phenomenal job all around. I can't believe that this is only the second show directed by Keiichirou Saitou, the first being Bocchi the Rock! That is a talent that I will be keeping an eye on going forward.

No more Frieren Fridays...I don't know what to do with myself

This was great. I will dearly miss my weekly Frieren moment.

I loved this adaptation. I was already reading the manga before the anime and was worried about this anime. Often, when I watch an adaptation of which I know the source and it's faithful, I wonder what the added value of the adaptation is. I was worried the same thing would happen here, but that was not the case at all.

The anime used the strengths of its medium to great effect, adding value to the adaptation. Great visuals, great music, great voice work, great sound and probably most importantly: great direction. It did not disappoint at all.

Is this what they call dislike of your own kind?

Definitely my favourite show of the season. I'm gonna enjoy the manga for sure!

Land pulled out the whole thing while being unscathed at his home, sipping tea. What's really impressed me is none of the first-class mages who proctored the test noticed it. Would Frieren have noticed it like Serie?

[–] lvxferre@ani.social 6 points 7 months ago

I think that Frieren would notice it, if it mattered enough. However I think that she barely interacted with Land, as ally or foe.

I wonder what spells the other new First Class Mages picked?

Passing Übel I think proves that Serie's criteria for promoting a FCM is "amuse me".
