Poor people are confused and think affording overpriced tech means they are wealthy. But they're just slightly less poor.

I have 18 years of Apple stickers laying around. Some of my stickers could drive a car.
I don’t put stickers on my car though. And this year I bought my first Linux computer in 15 years (I’m very unimpressed with Tim Cook and Trump, and diversifying out of American tech).
Stupid!
I think that it's pride in staying with a company that weakened their batteries from afar so they would spend more of their hard-earned cash on a new apple device. Weird values.
You don’t often see stickers on cars?
Are you sure it isn’t the logo of the National Education Association? That is the largest teacher’s Union in the US.
Also there are many regional and local. Teachers organizations that will use a stylization of an apple as their logo.
Stickers on cars are not really common in many countries.
Besides the occasional "child on board" or local soccer club sticker, they are e.g. almost nonexistant here in Germany.
But Apple stickers *have* been a thing that deviated from that rule, so it stood out, a few years ago.
Don't forget the ubiquitous Sylt sticker.
Yes, sure, the classic is also still around!
I took me quite some time until I figured out what it was supposed to be.
For a long time I actually thought it to be something political, as it looked a lot like the scar on Gorbachev's head... 😆

On the flipside, one of my laptops as a "Hertz gold standard clean seal"-sticker on it.
Because company car and corporate branding...... I don't even work for them but they are a customer/supplier.
