This is the real life version of that gag about the two economists on a deserted island with a briefcase of cash. Just keep handing it back and forth between each other until you've generated enough value to buy a boat.

Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.
All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body.
If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include not just the twitter.com URL but also xcancle.org (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source (archive.today, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org). Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed.
Mass-tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken Markov chain bot will result in a comm ban.
Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.
Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned.
Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society.

At what point does it pop, really? It's three companies giving each other money in a circle.

'Very troubling': AI's self-investment spree sets off bubble alarms on Wall Street
pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop !!!
i'm getting close to taking manual control of my meager retirement account and pulling it out of stocks
at the very least it's probably worth moving money into bonds which are less likely to crash and would almost certainly get bailed out
inshallah all the techbro cities will become affordable someday soon
the thing that puzzles me is the bullshit stock deals that the companies have began doing recently. essentially the first company gives a bunch of money in exchange for shares in the second company, they announce the deal causing the second company's stock to rise, which makes the second company's shares that is owned by the first company more valuable than the amount invested, which makes the first company's share rise as well. then they raise investments based on the new value which completes the cycle.
im definitely missing something here or misunderstanding something because that shouldn't be possible. i'll be glad if someone explains it to me.
that's basically what's happening, a great dive into the whole thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBCujAQtdfQ
Since capitalism is basically a pyramid scheme this all makes sense really, and is totally healthy and not cause for alarm in any way!
