Mictecacihuatl, Lady of the Dead, is the link between the living and the deceased. She holds our teyollia, the spirit of our personality and our creativity, and purifies it so it can return to the Earth in the shape of a new being. Also called Mictlancihuatl, she is the ruler of the land of the dead. She is honored on Dia de Muertos, and is a manifestation of La Santa Muerte. A work of nahua (or Aztec) tradition.

Mictecacihuatl is the female deity associated with death in many of Mexico's indigenous cultures. In addition to welcoming us into the afterlife, she is the protector of some and the source of countless legends related to the underworld. Learn about her history, her powers, and the fate of those who encounter the powerful lady of Mictlán.

Known as the lady of the dead, the lady who cuts the umbilical cord, or simply the lady of death, Mictecacihuatl is the goddess who rules the other world and to whom some will have to answer sooner or later.

Together with her husband, the lord of death Mictlantecuhtli, Mictecacihuatl welcomes souls who died naturally to Mictlán, to watch over their bones and watch over their sleep for all eternity.

Furthermore, her power extends throughout the land of the dead and even into the world of the living, as she is capable of sending blessings, curses, and messages from her dimension in the afterlife. Of the two rulers of the underworld, Mictecacihuatl seems to be the more flexible of the two deities, as she is the one who gives the deceased permission to return from Mictlán, a gesture that does not go unnoticed on the earthly plane, as the celebration of the dead in pre-Hispanic cultures was an honor to this goddess.

I just made a comment in a different thread and think I have a thought that makes sense.

I would wager that a vast majority of people who think chatgpt and LLMs are amazing super tech have never even heard of Wolfram Alpha.

That shit could take my dumb-as-all-fuck interpretation of a math question and interpret what I could possibly mean and show me step by step the answer. No it doesnt understand natural language as well but who cares

No amount of erotic fanfic about bible characters or whatever could impress me after using wolframalpha

I love passwordless logins. I love being forced to open up my email for a temporary 6 digit code, waiting a minute - nothing shows up - clicking resend code, only for it to finally appear, copying and pasting it in my browser, invalid code. Why? because fuck you, that's why. You already requested a new one! Did you really think the old code would work? You have to wait another minute for your email to receive the new one. ahahahha wow thats so much more convenient than having to remember my password! hehehheheh... aaaaaah aaahhhHAHAHAHHA aaaaahahahhaahahahahah hHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA $^%&^#$*#&$&@#^AAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHHA

I DONT EVEN HAVE THE OPTION TO USE MY PASSWORD ANYMORE, YOU GOT RID OF IT! YOU GOT RID OF MY FUCKING PASSWORD

are christians stupid? why would you fabricate a geneaology of jesus making joseph a descendant of abraham & david, when joseph did not put that baby in mary? the text literally says he didn't sleep with her till that baby was born. jesus' patrilinial geneology starts and ends at Holy Spirit.

easy fix, do a matrilinial geneaology picard-annoyed

I'm so tired with everything, I don't have the energy to do anything except play video games when I'm not at work and it's killing me. I need like a year off of work to take care of the countless looming DIY house projects that I've allowed to build up since COVID started and reset my brain.

Also my job is still relatively cushy but it's become significantly more annoying in the two years I've been here, I have a good relationship with my boss but the rest of senior management puts up a huge fight any time I try to do my job because it might make their lives 1% more difficult. Like sorry Susan, but I'm not giving you written or verbal permission to do [very bad thing that I'm being paid specifically to prevent] because "that's the way we've always done it" (the worst possible justification to do anything btw) and you don't want to do 10 more minutes of work every week, only boss can override it. Then it escalates to boss and we continue wasting everyone's time, repeat ad nauseum on a weekly basis.

The world's largest Hindu temple is in Cambodia (It's Angkor Wat). The second largest is in New Jersey. Or in other words, the largest Hindu temple that serves prinarily as a Hindu temple is in New Jersey.
This isn't useful knowledge, but I just found out.

Read an “alt-history” where the USSR never happened because the population peacefully ousted the czar through Democratic negotiations and upholds “European Liberalism.” What made it funnier was that the creator still had Russia depicted as “Democratic but suffers from heavy mafia-like cartels influencing politics.” Liberals can’t even respect Russia in their fantasies.

Stalin wasn't a communist, he used the Marxist movement to forward his true ideology— a return to the temple economy of the Third Dynasty of Ur. He died before he could complete his great Ziggurat to Enlil.

finally got my first paycheck from my new job holy shit what a load off my shoulders. still working two others for the foreseeable future to catch up on the debt I incurred while being unemployed but at least I know I won't be evicted or lose my car/phone both of which I need to keep making money.

I am not rescinding my jihad upon evgo and its payment processor nyx. They are still holding 110 of my dollars hostage a full week after I charged at one of their stations (a charge that only cost $3). Nor am I rescinding my jihad upon Trader Joe's until they pay me the agreed $300 for contract work I did for them last week.

Im prettt sure the kitties in my neighborhood have been talking about me and im some sort of folk hero. While I was just out I heard a cat let out a big shriek and then this lil callico came running from a back yard and hid behind my leg until we'd established the threat was clear and then got some cuddles. I have never seen this cat before. I am pals with a lot of kitties around where I live, I guess word got out.
