I don’t even want what’s in the US’s best interest, but I also don’t think supporting Israel is in the US’s best interest
This “unsinkable aircraft carrier” sure is taking on a lot of water, the pumps are expensive, fixing the leaks is gonna be even more expensive, and trying to maintain it is just pissing off everyone else on earth.
It would genuinely be more in the US’s interest to declare Israel a rogue terrorist state and launch an invasion. Relive the WW2 glory days. I honestly think that could prolong US hegemony by a couple decades.
What was the title if the study again, that showed that popular opinion on a topic doesn't matter for US policy? Only when looking at high income groups there starts to be a correlation.
